Design is more difficult to evaluate, at least from an aesthetic perspective; from a functional perspective it has issues which also have repercussions on comfort. WebVocals were warm and intimate, with Arya SE they stood out more from the songs compared to HE1000 V2. But as for the soundstage, I have to go with HE1000 V2 - they give more room for the vocal and the instruments to showcase and come together more harmoniously.
