The underbar kit provides some great protection for the stabilizer itself and because the Fastway units have “on the fly” adjustability and you’ll want it to be as easy to reach as possible.

To be honest though, I've found that I leave the high speed on the Scott's at ~1 1/8 turns out and adjust between 6-10 clicks out on the low speed and I've been happy with it in all riding conditions.
